Do Stealth Plates Work

Yes — our Stealth Plates use electrochromic blackout film that turns completely opaque in under 0.2 milliseconds. Unlike traditional stealth license plate flippers or covers, there's no motor or movement involved. Just press the button and your plate disappears from sight.

How does the Stealth Plate cover Work?

The plate uses a wireless remote to activate a special film layer that blocks visibility. No motors or moving parts — just a clean, reliable blackout at the press of a button.

Are Stealth Plates illegal?

Stealth Plates are not legal for street use in most areas. They're intended strictly for off-road, show, or private property use. Always check your local laws before using your privacy plate on public roads. Buyer assumes all responsibility.

What is a Vanish Plate?

"Vanish Plate" is just another name for a Stealth License Plate Cover. Ours is built with durable acrylic, fits all standard plate sizes, and switches modes with a wireless remote.

How do you install the Stealth Plate?

Installation takes about 15–20 minutes. We include a wiring harness, fuse tap, LED status light, and install guide. It works on cars, trucks, and motorcycles with minimal tools.

Does it work with toll cameras or speeding cameras?

Our plate turns fully opaque, designed to block visibility from all angles, including ALPRs and speed traps. For legal reasons, we emphasize it's for off-road and show use only.

Will the plate still be visible when off?

Yes — when turned off, the plate is 83% transparent, meaning it looks nearly crystal clear. It's perfect for everyday driving and doesn’t attract attention like a flipper.

8 month comprehensive review. Vusi vs Stealth plate

Overall very happy with my stealth plate. Install took me 40mins but in all fairness I’m not very mechanically inclined. The glass cover is very sturdy and less fragile than you would think. Finding a good spot for the led indicator was a bit of a process but the on and off button on the remote made it kind of redundant anyways. It’s amazing how quick the response is from when you click the remote to the plate going black.

I used to own the vusi plate but it broke after 6 months. The vusi plate is thinner and the whole unboxing experience is extremely premium. However the product didn’t stand the test of time. So far my stealth plate has lasted longer and cost me $100 less than the vusi. I also prefer the black rubber bracket of the stealth plate over the vusi as the vusi bracket turns yellow over time(kinda like an old clear phone case).

Take away; the vusi is more premium $100 more expensive and a thinner glass. Stealth plate is cheaper, more durable, includes an LED indicator and forgot to mention ships much faster. My pick is the stealth plate as over the long run I find it to be the better choice.
